Louis Payne

Louis Leo "Lee" Payne, son of Russell L. and Katherine Countess Payne, was born on May 22, 1921 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was married to the former Kathryn Ward in April 1944. Lee and Kitty moved to North Linthicum in 1948, where they resided for 58 years until moving into an assisted living facility in Severna Park in 2006. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on April 22, 2007. Kitty passed away on June 30, 2007.
Lee worked for the B&O Railroad, retiring in 1981. Lee and Kitty enjoyed traveling with the Ferndale Roadrunners, visiting many states. Lee enjoyed his memberships in many Fraternal organizations and spending time with his family and his Boston Terrier, Zippy.
Lee was a member of Glen Burnie Lodge #213 AF & AM, Boumi Shrine, Concordia Chapter #1 RAM, Concordia Council #1, and Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar #8. He was Past Precept Emmanuel Tabernacle, Post Commandery #1, and Past Patron Eastern Star Chapters #63/29.
Lee passed away on October 24, 2007. He is survived by his loving daughters, Kathy Braman and Libby Clause and their husbands Darrell and Carl, granddaughters Michele Banz, Kimberly Green, and Christine Banz, grandson Scott Clause and graet-granddaughter Katie Suchi.
