Lt. Col. Alfred G. Keggins, US Army (Ret), 88, of Glen Burnie, MD passed away on April 4, 2011. Alfred was born in Watertown, NY in 1922. He earned a Bachelors degree in Military Science. Alfred served in the US Army in WWII and Vietnam. He had a career as an Army Officer and served in the Army Counter Intelligence Corps. He also worked at the Pentagon before retiring. After retirement, he worked for the MD Civil Defense. Alfred was a member of Saint Bernadette's Parish and ACIC. He enjoyed playing golf, bridge and the piano, Bible Study and Hispanic music and books. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Margaret Keggins; his parents John and Mary Keggins; a brother, James Keggins and 2 sisters, Sister Mary Enda and Agnes Robinson. He is survived by four sons, Theodore S., Frances M., Brian G. and Gregory L. Keggins; three daughters, Kathleen K. Sybert, Christine L. Keggins and Mahala A. Stansfield; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
