Luanna Strickland

Luanna R. Strickland, 92, of Odenton, passed away on July 20, 2014. She was born on February 28, 1922 in New Providence, Iowa to the late John and May Martin. Luanna had numerous jobs prior to joining the US Navy, which she served during WWII. She enjoyed bowling, crabbing, gardening and dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Strickland. She is survived by her children, Janet L. Siar (Hugh), Thomas D. Strickland, Richard L. Strickland (Paula) and Dorothy S. Stackhouse (Drew); her grandchildren, Jordan and Samantha Strickland, Eric and Mark Stackhouse; and her brother, Neil H. Martin.

The family request memorial contributions to be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Ste. 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.

Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
