Mac Arthur Johns, 73, of Glen Burnie passed away on December 16, 2023, at Hospice of the Chesapeake. Mac was born in 1950 to the late Scott E. Johns and the late Eva Willis Collins. Mac was The One and Only Chief of the Maryland Mid-Atlantic Monacan Indians. He enjoyed gardening and listening to music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Patricia Ann Rexrode; his son-in-law, Ascenzio L. Bilello, Jr.; his sisters, Estelle Hicks, Ella Lerp, Kitty Cooper, Lillian Devan, and Joanne Branham; and his brothers, Ed Johns, and Berkeley Johns.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved companion of six years, Georgianna Pumphrey; his loving son, Christopher Eaves of Manhattan, NY; his loving daughter, Julia A. Bilello of Garrett County, MD; his dear grandchildren, Ascenzio L. Bilello, III of Russell Springs, KY and Isabella E. Bilello of Garrett County, MD; his cherished great-grandchildren, Leora E. Bilello and Ascenzio L. Bilello of Russell Springs, KY; his brothers, Franklin Johns, Dillard Johns, and David Johns; and his sisters, Akey Johns, Violet Schulteis and Jean Branham.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Dachshund Rescue of North America (DRNA), 1197 Allaire Loop, The Villages, FL 32163 -or- at www.drna.org
