On Tuesday, August 22, 2006, John Robert Holman passed away of natural causes in Glen Burnie, MD. John is survived by his loving companion of 22 years, Mary Murphy. He is also survived by his beloved children: Debra Snyder, Cynthia Emerson, Jacqueline Jordan, Mark Holman, Lance Holman, Erik Holman, and Heidi Holman. John has 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
John was born in Independence, Missouri and graduated from TriState University in Illinois with a degree in mechanical engineering. He retired as a Major in the U.S. Air Force. After retiring he was a mechanical engineer for the Pentagon, United Technologies, Koppers, and Westinghouse. John was a member of the American Legion Post 40 and the American Pool Players Players Association. He enjoyed golf, shooting pool, politics, and dancing.
