Margaret Golinski

On December 18, 2018, Margaret Delores Golinski, 85, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away at her home. Margaret was born on February 10, 1933, in Washington, DC, to the late Bridget and Patrick Ryan. She was the beloved matriarch of the Golinski family, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother renowned for her endless strength and sharp wit.

Margaret enjoyed a long career as a radiology technologist and diagnostic sonographer while raising a family of seven children. She received certification as a radiology technician from Georgetown University Medical Center in 1953. She worked in various hospitals as a radiology technician before taking a break to start a family. She resumed her career in the early 70's, when she began a long and successful stint at North Arundel Hospital, during which time she became a registered diagnostic medical sonographer. She retired from the field in 1996 and focused on life with her family.

Margaret was predeceased by her devoted husband of 48 years, Rudolph “Rudy” Golinski; her dear brother, John Ryan; and her sister, Mary Geremia. She is survived by her loving children, Chris Golinski, Barbara Chaney, Teresa Stevens, Dave Golinski, Phil Golinski, Tom Golinski and Mark Golinski; her 17 cherished grandchildren; and her nine beloved great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Thursday, December 27th, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 28th, at 10 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church – Holy Trinity, 7436 B&A Blvd, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
