Margaret Hoch

On January 18, 2007, Margaret "Peggy" Elizabeth Hoch (nee Steele) passed away at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Hoch Sr. for 46 years; Devoted mother of Stanley Jr. and Stania "Chris" Szverra; Loving sister of Beverly Zeiders and the late Genevieve Barnhardt and James Steele; Cherished grandmother of seven, great-grandmother of fifteen (and one on the way) and great-great-grandmother of one. Peggy was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She has spent the last 24 years living in Millersville and before that she resided in Essex. Peggy worked as a nurse for the Wernersville State Hospital in Pennsylvania. She also worked as a substitute teacher and part-time for the post office. Peggy was a member of the United Methodist Women; served as a lay speaker and also volunteered with a crisis hotline. She was an avid reader and belonged to the Cross Talk Book Club. Peggy was also a founding member of the Essex Health Center and a member of the Severna Park UMC. Peggy also loved square dancing and shopping.
