Margaret Helen Keggins (Nee Thompson) was the beloved wife of 64 years to Alfred; loving mother of Theodore, Francis, Brian, and Gregory Keggins, Kathleen Sybert, Christine Fitch, and Mahala Stansfield; cherished grandmother of Jamie & Christopher Miller, Seth Keggins, Bryana Knapp, Jason Baker, Christopher Banister, Courtney & Ian Ferguson; and devoted great grandmother of Peyton Keggins. Preceding her in death were her brother, Kendrick Thompson, and her parents, Leo & Emma Thompson. Margaret was a member of St. Bernadette Parish, and a donor to multiple charities. In her spare time, she greatly enjoyed crafts including sewing, painting and ceramics; playing card games such as bridge, rummy and solitaire; and completing crossword puzzles. She liked watching Western movies and Baltimore Orioles baseball. She was an avid reader of mystery novels and the Harry Potter series, and was interested in Civil War history. Margaret was a Wireless Operator in the Canadian Women's Army Corps during World War II when she met Alfred, who was in the US Army. Their wartime romance led to marriage, and together they raised their family, including while stationed twice in Germany, and in the Panama Canal Zone.
