Marianne Manning

June 7, 1957 — October 6, 2018

Marianne Manning, 61, of Glen Burnie, passed away suddenly on October 6, 2018. Marianne was born in Bloomsburg, PA to the late Robert Gabriel and Martha (Krushinski) Gabriel. She was raised in Athens, PA where she graduated from Athens High School in 1975. She then attended Alfred Tech and graduated from University of Maryland with her Bachelor's degree and Towson University with her Master's degree. Marianne was an educator at North County High School in Glen Burnie. Working in special education was her passion and her love for her students went beyond the classroom. She was honored to receive the AACPS May 2015 educator of the month award. She also enjoyed reading, being at the beach, and many other hobbies. However, her greatest love was her family, being a mother to her three children, GiGi to her two grandchildren, and her beloved dog Millie. She was preceded in death by her father; and sister, Janet Turner. She is survived by her children, Stephanie Justice(Jarrod), David Manning, Robert Manning(Rachel);grandchildren, Jackson and Riley Justice; her mother, Martha Gabriel; and sister, Renee Brennan; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, co-workers, and friends.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy.) on Friday, Oct. 12 from 5:30-7:00PM, with a prayer service to follow at 7PM.
