Marie Carter

Marie Therese Carter, 97, of Halethorpe, formerly of Glen Burnie, passed away on July 16, 2022 at Oak Lodge Assisted Living. She was born, one of ten, in British Guiana to the late Joseph Fulciano and Philomena DeFreitas Figueira. She had a passion for music and singing and enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 28 years, Walter O. Carter Jr.; three daughters, Patricia A. Carter, Therese S. Smith and Maria T. Guido; and nine siblings.

Marie is survived by her devoted children, Walter O. Carter III and his wife, Carol, Kenneth J. Carter, Dennis Carter and his wife, Kim, Gail Ray and her husband, Steve, Sandra C. Carter and Ann Squire and her husband, Robert; dear sister, Gloria Bean; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, Glen Burnie, on Wednesday, July 20th, from 5 – 8 PM and on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, 11 AM, in the funeral home chapel. There will be a viewing prior starting at 10 AM. Please arrive by 10:45 AM for the start of the service. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
