Marie Franks

Marie Eileen Franks, 84, of Annapolis, passed away on October 7, 2012 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson. Eileen was born in 1928 in Baltimore, MD. She was a homemaker. Eileen was a member of the Annapolis Fleet Reserve, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Glen Burnie Moose. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and ballroom dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Franks, and companion of twenty years, Frank Brendza. She is survived by four children, Charleen Shook and husband Jerry, Mitchell Franks and wife Diane, Karen Smith, and Linda Ritter; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Gilchrist Hospice, 6601 North Charles Street, Towson, MD 21204.
