Marie Smith

On Wednesday, November 7, 2012 Marie M. Smith, a resident of Brooklyn Park for 70 years, passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born in Baltimore, MD on October 10, 1919. Marie enjoyed bingo, slot machines, camping, gardening and socializing. She will be remembered as "the rock" of her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Pat Gunkel and husband Charles and Debbie Mathews and husband Jimmy; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John T. Smith, Sr. and two children, Doris Joyce and John T. Smith, Jr. Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 1041 Rt. 3 North Building A1; Gambrills, MD 21054.
