Marion "Sonnie" Rowley, 79, of Severn, passed away on April 29, 2015. Sonnie was born on February 29, 1936 in Oak Grove, VA to the late Susie and John Rixey Rowley. He served as a Corporal in the US Army from 1954 to 1957. Sonnie was a Teamster for 37 years. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his four sisters, Lillian, Grace, Bo and Pearl; and two brothers, Buddy and John.
Sonnie is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Ruth Rowley; his children, Darren Rowley, Kimberly Kjerulf and her husband, Tedd Kjerulf, Martin Rowley and his wife, Melissa Rowley, Jeffrey Rowley and his wife, Michele Rowley; his grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob, Alyssa, Layton, Gabrielle, Marla and Nicholas; and his faithful dog, Mooch.
The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the American Lung Association, 211 E. Lombard St., #260, Baltimore, MD 21202.
