Marjorie Louise Meyer, 92 of Severna Park passed away on May 8, 2024. Marjorie was born on September 6, 1931 in Baltimore to the late Otto and Iva Reechel. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Meyer, Sr.; and her siblings, Leona Swan, Harry Reechel, Otto Reechel, Jr. and Jackie Reechel. Marjorie is survived by her children, John P. Meyer, Jr. (Cherie), Paul T. Meyer and David M. Meyer (Mary Lynn); her grandchildren, Taryn, James, Madison and Chloe; her great-grandchildren, Hunter, Ryan, Noah, Allison and Lyanna-Rose; and her sisters, Delores Klingelhoefer and Diana Bleemke (Larry).
In her lifetime, Marjorie enjoyed various hobbies and interests that brought her immense joy. She found solace in gardening, nurturing beautiful blooms that mirrored the beauty she carried within. An avid golfer, she spent many peaceful days on the golf course, honing her skills and relishing the companionship of fellow enthusiasts. Tennis was also another passion of hers. For the past decade, she cherished the companionship of her adored canine companion, Daisy.
The family will receive visitors at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 308 Oak Manor Rd, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Wednesday, May 15th from 10:30-11 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 308 Oak Manor Rd., Glen Burnie, MD 21061 or to the Lutheran Mission Society, www.compassionplace.org May she rest in peace knowing that her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly. Her presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
