On June 12, 2018, Marjorie Ione Salatti, 97, of Hanover, passed away in her home. She was born on June 23, 1920, in Marion, North Dakota, to the late Estella and Alden Angevine. She earned her nursing degree in Washington State in her 20's. Later in life, Marjorie went on to work as a registered nurse for North Arundel Hospital when it opened in 1965, and became head nurse of Pediatrics. Marjorie was a member of the "Homemakers" which was comprised of neighborhood homemakers that enjoyed many common activities together. She liked bowling and was an excellent cook. But most of all, she took pride in taking care of her family and her home.
Marjorie was predeceased by her devoted husband of 72 years, Antonio Salatti; her dear son, Nicholas A. Salatti; and her five siblings. She is survived by her loving daughters, Maria J. Salatti and Tina S. Salatti Appel; her beloved grandchildren, Anthony B. Gage, Damian P. Gage, and Sophie G. Gage; and her five cherished great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Monday, June 18th, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 19th, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 7436 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. in Glen Burnie at 10 AM. Interment MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marjorie's name may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122.
