Marlene Saffield

Marlene A. Saffield (nee Smith), 73, a resident of Brooklyn and Glen Burnie for 37 years, passed away on May 24, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born in Baltimore, MD on September 7, 1939 to the late Edwin and Myrtle Smith. She enjoyed computer and puzzle games; but her greatest love of all was spending time with her grandchildren. Marlene will also be remembered for occasionally giving you the "stink eye". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, George Roland Saffield and two siblings, Jacquelene Pierce and Robert W. Sparks. Marlene is survived by her children, Steve Saffield and wife Heather, Renee Saffield and Terry Edmondson, Michael Saffield and David Saffield; five grandchildren, Justin, Logan, Stephen, Kori and Annabell; sister, Ruth Burrell and husband Chuck; and nephew, Jason Burrell.
