On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, Mary Catherine Graves of Ferndale, MD passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of 70 years to the late Kenneth “Ken” A. Graves; loving mother of Kenneth J. Graves, Stephen F. Graves and his wife, Robin, Mary Catherine Casa and David C. Graves and his wife, Paula; and devoted grandmother of Allessandra Casa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Mary Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and George Bach; and her brother, George Bach.
Mary Kaye grew up in Waverly and graduated from Seton High School in 1950. She met her future husband “Ken” Graves when he was in the Naval Air Reserve and married on June 14, 1952 and were married for over 70 years. She was an active member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and was also a Eucharistic Minister. A Leader/Instructor for Weight Watchers International for over 30 years, and active member of the Homemakers Club of Glen Burnie. She enjoyed vacationing at Misty Harbor, enjoyed going to the concerts at the Pascal Senior Center and making stamping up greeting cards and sending them to her family and friends. Mary Kaye retired from the Brockbridge Correctional Institute as the assistant to the Warden.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue, SW,(at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Tuesday, September 3rd, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 4th, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6405 S. Orchard Road, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 at 10:30 am. Her Committal Service and Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Glen Burnie, MD. If desired, Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association.
