Mary Horner

Mary Elizabeth Horner, 86, passed away at the Villa Rosa Nursing Home, Mitchellville, MD on Thursday, December 10, 2009 of natural causes. Born May 18, 1923, in Baltimore, MD to the late Edward McPhail and the late Grace Danner where she was raised. She was the widow of the late Willis J. Horner who died in March 1987.
Mary lived most of her life in the Maryland area, for 50 years on Dartford Ave., Baltimore, MD and more recently at Sunnybrook Senior Living in Westminster, MD, Victoria Station in Edgewater, MD, Crofton Convalescent Center in Crofton, MD and finally Villa Rosa Nursing Home.
Mary is survived by her son Willis "Butch" Horner of Edgewater, MD and his wife, J.R.; daughter, Darnell Day of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; two stepsons, W. James "Jim" Horner (Shirley) and Robert "Jack" Horner (Mary) of Baltimore, MD; two stepdaughters, June Robinson of Baltimore, MD and Betty Whyel of Ashland, Ohio. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by 2 stepdaughters, Margaret Jane Hartley and Marlene Bessie Bell; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
