Mary Catherine Alt

Mary Catherine Alt, 86, of Glen Burnie, passed away on September 2, 2022, at Regency Park Senior Living in Gambrills.  She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 28, 1936, to the late Hanora and Richard Hughes.  Mary was a devout member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Curtis Bay, and she enjoyed bingo and gardening.  But most of all, Mary loved spending time with her family.

Mary was predeceased by her devoted husband Thomas J. Alt, Sr., her daughters, Bridget Moon and Elizabeth Knofski, and her siblings, Dorothy Martin, Earlene Knapp, Nora McCormick, Richard Hughes, James Hughes, and Charles, Hughes.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Mary (Bill) Gabinet, Thomas (Anna) Alt Jr., Robert (Diana) Alt, and Patricia (John) Meade; her 14 beloved grandchildren; 10 cherished great-grandchildren (with two more on the way); and her dear siblings, Bridget McKenzie and William Hughes.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1  2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, September 6th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 4708 Prudence Street, Baltimore, Maryland  21226.  Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn Park.
