Mary Katherine DeGrange, better known as Kathy, 75, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Dorothy and John Wienhold. Kathy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Notre Dame University of Maryland and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church for 45 years, and most recently, a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Family was first and foremost for Kathy. She loved spending time with her family and she also enjoyed gardening. Kathy also spent much of her time volunteering with Holy Trinity, Glen Burnie Improvement Association, Richard Henry Lee Elementary School, and Glen Burnie High School.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, F. Ward DeGrange, Jr.; her beloved children, Jennifer DeGrange-Fisher and F. Ward DeGrange, III; her cherished grandchildren, Brendin DeGrange and Abigail Fisher; her loving brother, Jack Wienhold; and her adored granddogs, Bently and Cooper. She is also survived by many extended family & friends. In addition to her parents, Kathy was predeceased by dear sister, Janice Wienhold.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Friday, May 26th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 27th, at 10 AM, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6405 S. Orchard Road, Linthicum, MD 21090. Interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathy’s name are requested to go to whichever church you choose.
