Matthew B. Willis

Matthew Bergendahl Willis, 36, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023.  He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 17, 1987, to Susan Benny and the late Emmett L. Willis. Matt had a kind and gentle heart and held his family close to it.  He was always the “big kid” whenever the family got together, entertaining and playing with his son and all his nieces, nephews, and great-niece.  He enjoyed playing his guitar, but most of all, he loved being with his family.

Matt leaves behind to treasure many wonderful memories, his cherished son, Logan Oscar Willis; his loving parents, Susan and Will Benny; beloved sisters, Tina (Eddie) Johnson and Jessica Willis; his adored nieces & nephews, Tony, Maya, & Jasmine Johnson, Cameran & Promyse Paris, and Zoey & Johnny Arkuszeski.   Matt was predeceased by his dear father, Emmett L. Willis.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Sunday, May 21st, from 5-8 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, May 22nd, at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Matt’s name are requested to be made to Susan B. Benny or on CashApp at $mattwillis17 for the benefit of Logan Willis.
