Melvin Anthony Lesniewski, 75 of Pasadena passed away on August 7, 2022 the day before his 76th birthday. Mel was born on August 8, 1946 in Baltimore to the late Melvin D. and Frances O. Lesniewski. He worked for the Anne Arundel County Water Division as a Water Plant Operator. Mel honorably served in the US Navy, two years’ active duty followed by 19 years in the Naval Reserves. He was also a member of American Legion Post 34. Mel enjoyed polka music, old cars, sitting on his porch, spending time at Ocean City, boating, fishing and crabbing, and he also loved his dogs. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens and Orioles sports fan.
Mel was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol L. Lesniewski and his sister, Denise A. Cole. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Lesniewski; his son, Dustin A. Lesniewski; his step daughters, Sylvia Hardesty (Richard) and Monica Wieckowski; his granddaughter, Brielle Frye; his sister, Donna M. Hampton; and his nephews, James Hampton (Jackie) and Brandon Cole (Julie).
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Sunday, August 14th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 15th at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
