Merle "Goldy" William Goldinger, Jr., of Severn passed away at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center on November 18, 2012 due to complications of a stroke. Goldy was born in Templeton, PA on November 27, 1936. He served his country by enlisting in the US Army in 1958 and had retired from NSA after many years of service. Goldy met and fell in love with his wife while he was stationed at Ft. Meade, MD. He loved to travel and socialize with longtime friends. Goldy particularly enjoyed fellowship with his MARRS buddies "running" trains and train displays.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Helen M. Goldinger; his daughter, Megan Joy Carpenter and her husband Dan; his precious seven month old grandson, Max Franklin Carpenter; his sister, Goldie Mae Reeseman, and brother, Donald Goldinger and his wife Pat; his brother-in-law of Henry Farrell and his wife Shirley. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews.
