Michael Hakulin, Sr.

Michael Steven Hakulin, Sr., 77 of Millersville passed away on June 7, 2021. Mike was born on November 29, 1943 in Monessen, Pennsylvania to the late Michael and Jane Hakulin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah Ford Hakulin; his son, Michael S. Hakulin; his siblings, Sandra Oliver, Ilona Kovach and Jonathan Hakulin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Mike was an US Army veteran, and was the former President and Founder of Balticon, Baltimore Science Fiction Society. Mike had a passion for science fiction and lapidary, and also enjoyed screen painting. He was also active in his community homeowner’s association and the architecture committee.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 11-1 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 11 AM at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Monkton, MD.
