Morgan Biggerstaff

Morgan passed peacefully as she was surrounded by the love from her husband and mother as she transitioned from this life on June 6, 2021. Morgan was born on May 5, 1983, in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Lansdowne High School and went on to attain her Bachelor’s degree from UMUC in July 2018. She was a soldier in the United States Army Reserves as of May 13, 2002. During her service, she was deployed to Kuwait and Iraq. Morgan received several medals and awards including: the Bronze 10-year Hourglass Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. She was ordered to active duty in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and received ribbons for Overseas Service, Army Reserves Services and the Iraq Medal with Campaign Star. Amongst her decorated recognitions as an Army Veteran, Morgan was also a real estate agent for Keller Williams and was a member of The Enlisted Association (TREA).  She enjoyed festivals, crafting, estate sales, camping and traveling with her family.

Morgan is survived by her beloved husband, Willie Lee Wilkins III (Odenton, MD); loving mother, Laurie Biggerstaff; cherished daughters, Calita Thomas, Arya Wylie; loving step-children, Derrick Robinson, Amarjorion Wilkins and Treyvon Wilkins; dear sister, Lori Faulkner (Baltimore, MD); beloved grandmother, Barbara Coker (Lancaster, PA); and caring aunt, Ella C. Biggerstaff (Baltimore, MD). She will also be missed by her parents-in-law, Willie Wilkins Jr. and Dianne Wilkins (Lanham, MD); brother-in-law, Nathan McNair and his wife, Theresa (Virginia Beach, VA); sisters-in-law, Timiko Wilkins and Erika Brown (Bowie, MD), Angela Wilkins (Hagerstown, MD); grandmothers-in-law, Gladys White (Chesapeake, VA) and Drusilla Shelvy; and a host of relatives from aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and battle buddies.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cleveland C. Biggerstaff Jr.; and her grandparents, Cleveland C. Biggerstaff Sr. and Jeanne L. Biggerstaff.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave., SW (off Crain Hwy), on Monday, June 14th, from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
