Mother Jackson

July 18, 1922 — January 14, 2011

Jackson, Elouise Louise Carter, 88, a resident of Glen Burnie for 59 years, entered God's eternal presence on January 14, 2011 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born July 18, 1922 in Cheraw, South Carolina. The first of six children born to the late Mary Etta Caulley Carter Wilson and Henry Reese Carter. Louise spent most of her youth being guided spiritually by her grandparents the late Minnie and Gus Caulley. She was very glad that she was later challenged in many areas by her stepfather the late Robert (Mr. Bob) Wilson. Louise enjoyed singing, loving and training her children. However, her passion was discussing God, The Father, The Son and the Blessed Holy Spirit.
She was blessed to have the opportunity to be guided to several professional careers that allowed her to enjoy her passion. During the 50's & 60's, she was a beautician, from 1968-1988 she served as a nurse at the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore, MD (LPN) and the Crownsville Hospital Center, Crownsville, MD (RN). She retired from Crownsville. In the early 90's she was guided to Fort Pierce, Florida to take care of her ill mother. During that period of her life she was ordained and received her Masters of Theological Studies, Christian Education and Counseling and Doctorate of Theology.
Louise or Mother Jackson (as she was known by many) was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Jackson; four brothers (The Carter Boys), Johnnie Reese, Gus, James Verlette and Theodore. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Yvonne Anita and Jerome Lemuel Jackson (Rhonda); a brother, Wilbert Carter; two sister-in-laws, Mary Carter and Dorothy Carter; three grandchildren, Jerome L. Jackson, Jr., Benjamin Jackson and Rachael Jackson and a host of other relatives and friends.
