James W. Edwards, Jr.

James Willard Edwards, Jr., 80, of Severn passed away on November 2, 2019. Will was born on April 20, 1939 in Baltimore to the late James and Catherine Edwards. Will worked as a Longshoreman for over 30 years at the Port of Baltimore. He enjoyed singing in the church choir and was an active member in many church activities at several churches in the area, including Severn Alliance, Fellowship Baptist and Bible Church of Lakeshore. He also enjoyed baseball, softball, football, spending time in his yard and garden. He especially loved his grandchildren and family.

Will is survived by his wife, Patricia Edwards; his daughters, Valerie Blische and her husband, Mark; and Tricia Canapp; his grandchildren, James Collins, Catherine Blische, Adam Blische, Alexus Bowers, Philip Canapp and Aubrey-Ann Canapp; his great-granddaughter, Zoie Collins; and his sister, Joan Martinoli. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and family members. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Wistling.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, Nov. 6th from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
