Oneal Wilson, 70, of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away July 26, 2020 at his home.
Neal, as he was often referred to, was born June 7, 1950 in Middlesboro, Kentucky. He attended and graduated from Thomas Walker High School in Ewing, VA. He left Virginia and came to Maryland to marry his love, Shelby Wilson in November of 1971.
Oneal was a hard worker and provider for his family, having spent 19 years working for General Electric in Columbia, Maryland, only to start a new career and work the next 25 years for the Potomac Electric Power Company of Washington, DC, from which he would retire.
Neal's priority was to his family, spending his time away from work camping, fishing, crabbing, and most importantly teaching and sharing his deep wealth of experience and knowledge with his children. Neal's door was open as a haven to many neighborhood children who were always welcomed as if they were his own. He was also involved in his community as a Boy Scout Leader, and close friend who could be counted on to provide his support and assistance.
Oneal is survived by his wife, Shelby; children, Sara and Quinten; daughter-in-law, Lauren; grandson, Gideon; and siblings, Trish, Tony and Tyrone.
The family will receive visitors to celebrate his life on Thursday, July 30th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A.
