Robert "Bob" Earl Cutler Jr., 72, of Severn, Maryland, passed away on February 24, 2019. Bob was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 26, 1947, to the late Ruby Mae (Williford) Russell and Robert E. Cutler. He graduated from Andover High School in 1965. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966 where he served as an Airborne Infantryman in Vietnam and later as an Automation Support Specialist at Fort Meade, Maryland. After leaving military service in 1969, Bob attended college and later graduated from the University of Maryland where he obtained a degree in Computer Science. After employment in the private sector, he entered into government service where he supported the automation operations of the US Army Field Support Center, Fort Meade, Maryland and later at the Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington, DC where he retired in 2006. Bob was an avid cyclist who logged many miles on the BWI trail. He also completed the Baltimore Tour Du Port, Fireman's 50 and the Seagull Century in Salisbury, Maryland multiple times. He was a loving and devoted father to his daughters Kristin Cutler, Michelle Fera and son Robert E. Cutler III. He was also a doting grandfather to Jada Cutler, Sadie Cutler and Ryan Fera.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Thursday from 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Interment MD Veterans Cemetery Crownsville.
