Eleanor Pienkowski

Eleanor Pienkowsi a resident of Severn for eight years and formerly of Oceanport, New Jersey for fifty years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 7th. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lodi, New Jersey February 15, 1919 to the late Stephen and Catherine Nebesne.
Eleanor was a graduate of The McDowell Designing and Dressmaking School in New York City. She was an extraordinarily gifted seamstress designing and making five bridal gowns to include her own. She also worked for the Holland Mold Co in Trenton, New Jersey where she painted new ceramic creations for their sales catalog and showroom. Her greatest pleasure was working outside in her garden which was the envy of the neighborhood. She will truly be missed.
She was married to her husband Alexander Benjamin Pienkowski (deceased) for 56 years. Her oldest son Alexander Pienkowski passed away in 2005. She is survived by her son John and his wife Debbie Pienkowski, her daughter Eleanor and her husband Fritz Leach. She has four grandchildren, Kimberly and her husband Matthew Calton, MaryCatherine Leach and her fiancée Jeff Friedman, Michael and his wife Jennifer Pienkowsi, Stephanie Leach and her partner Mary Walsh. She also has four great grandchildren. Katelyn and Elizabeth Calton and Autumn and Benjamin Pienkowski.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral And Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, Maryland, on Friday, February 15, 2019, from 3-5 And 7-9 PM. It would have been Eleanor's 100th birthday. She will be interred with her devoted husband at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eleanor's name may be made to your favorite charity.
