Mary Dodson Marshall

Mary Ola (Dodson) Marshall, 93, of Arden on the Severn, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2019.

Mary was born on February 17, 1926 in Danville, Va. She was the 11th of 12 children born to the late Roy W. and Myrtie W. (Owen) Dodson. She was raised in a loving family on a tobacco farm. Mary followed her sister north to Washington D.C in search of better career opportunities. Her sweet and pleasant personality led her to the retail industry working many years at Montgomery Ward. She was also a homemaker a role that allowed her to use her nurturing qualities in caring for her family. She married William B. Marshall in 1959 a union that lasted until his passing. Mary was a faithful Christian, she was a devoted and longstanding member of South Shore Baptist Church in Crownsville. Mary will be remembered for her friendly disposition and trusting nature.

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband; and 11 siblings.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her devoted son, Michael C. Condolon and his wife, Cecilia; and a devoted niece Patricia Knott; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Monday, May 13th, at 1:00 PM  for a service celebrating her life and legacy. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest with her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to South Shore Baptist Church  725 Herald Harbor Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032.
