Norma M. Sickle

SICKLE, Norma Marie (née: Knauff ) beloved wife of David F Sickle died on Friday, September 27, 2019 peacefully at her home in Glen Burnie surrounded by her loving family from complications of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Norma was an only child and preceded in death by her  loving parents Robert L Knauff and Virginia T Knauff (née: Edie). Norma leaves behind her loving husband David F Sickle of 61 years of marriage. They had 3 children together. Susan A Shepeta (née Sickle) and her husband Henry (Hank) Shepeta, Dawn M Amini (née Sickle) and her husband James (Jimmy) Amini and Jeffrey D Sickle and his wife Melinda Sickle (née: Samuels). Norma also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, David J  Shepeta, Kimberley A Shepeta, Kaitlyn T Shepeta, James D (Jimmy) Amini, Brandy Amini and 3 Great grandchildren.

Norma grew up in Lansdowne and was later married there. She worked at Westinghouse for several years, then choose to stay home and raise her three children.  She later worked for Anne Arundel County School Cafeteria until she retired. She avidly enjoyed collecting Hummel figurines, Porcelain dolls and other items she cherished. She loved to cook and her family quite enjoyed everything she made.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, Oct. 1st from 3-5 PM & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 2nd at 10 AM. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park
