Steven Joseph Smith

Steven Joseph Smith, 62, of Glen Burnie, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020.  Steven was born on January 28, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Doris Stroud and Robert Smith.  He worked as an industrial painter for OT Neighoff & Sons and Barrett & Sons.  Steven enjoyed tinkering with cars, watching people tinker with cars and "advising" them, attending car races and watching wrestling. He was an Olympic people watcher, a great lover of dogs and loved getting together with his family & friends.

Steven is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Marie F. Smith; his loving daughter, Angela F. Smith; his dear siblings, Joan Waldron, Rusty Smith, Dennis Smith, Michael Smith, Robert Smith, Richard Stroud, and Randy Stroud; and his beloved granddogs, Bug, Groot, and Karl.  In addition to his parents, Steven was predeceased by his cherished daughter, Stephanie Marie Smith, his sister, Gail Zarza, his stepfather, Wilmer Richard Stroud and his beloved dogs Spunky, Pockets, Phoebe, and Zipper.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy), on Friday, September 4, from 10 AM – 12 noon.  A Celebration of Life Service will be Private.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 40 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors.  We kindly ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to enter the funeral home.
