Myrtle Bellamy

January 29, 1934 — July 1, 2012

Myrtle Marie Marshall Bellamy, age 78, transitioned from this life on July 1, 2012 when God called her home after an extended battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Alice Gertrude Marshall Wylie and Nathaniel Parks and widow of the late James Bellamy.
Born January 29th, 1934, in Woodruff, SC where she attended New Bethel School and New Bethel Baptist church. Marie moved to NY at an early age, where she worked as a Nurse's Aide and became a devoted member of Jackson Memorial church until moving on to Victory Christian Tabernacle. Marie moved to Glen Burnie, MD in 2009 where she was adopted by the members of Heritage Community Church and From the Heart of God Church. Marie owned an extensive collection of Bibles which she loved to study. She was also an avid reader and had a love of writing. Marie was an extraordinary Grandmother and was known as Ladybug and Grammy. She loved each of her Grandchildren dearly, and taught them to read and believe in the Bible. In addition, you could find her baking cookies with them, or teaching them how to garden and cook. Her pound cake, mac & cheese and banana pudding left you licking your fingers! In her Grandchildren, she tried to instill the importance of having a happy childhood and not growing up too soon.
In so many different ways, she touched the lives of many people and before you knew it, either you adopted her, or she adopted you, and "Mother Marie" was forever a part of your life. The memories that she created with each of us will always be in our hearts and cherished always.
She is survived by: 3 sons, Larry N. Marshall, NY; David W. Marshall, MD; Jerry A. Marshall, NJ; 3 Daughters, Alice M. Ferguson and son in-law, James Earl Ferguson, SC; Sandra T.
