She began working for Montgomery Ward at the age of 16 in their Monroe Street location in the retail and catalog areas. Nancy continued working for Wards for many years in various locations with many duties including running the cash office in their Laurel location. She married John Sullivan and welcomed 2 sons, John Jr. and Daniel. After their divorce, she married Richard Sanders (Dick) and welcomed 4 more children to the family, Debbie, Becky, Rich, and Jay.          Nancy enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, spending time with her family and her many pets. She was an avid reader of mysteries and romance novels. She was very crafty and enjoyed needlepoint, macrame, ceramics and flowers. She was always on the lookout for a new flower to plant in her many flower beds and natural areas. She had an affinity for crepe myrtle, star gazer lilies and pink roses.
