Nancy Gavin

Nancy Lee Gavin, 74, of Harrington, Delaware, previously of Stevensville, Severn and Ferndale, died November 8, 2010 after a long illness. Born March 12, 1936 to Lester and Thelma Meseke in Baltimore, she attended Glen Burnie High School in 1954. She then worked for Equitable Trust on Charles Street for a few years before marrying and raising her family. She was a member of the Elks Lodge where she had also been President of the Ladies Elks Lodge in Glen Burnie. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, cooking, cruise vacations and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Gavin; one daughter, Karen Goff of Ocean Pines; three sons, John K. Gavin of Long Beach, Mississippi, Richard K. Gavin of Bel Air, and Kevin P. Gavin of Port Monument, Colorado; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
