On May 22, 2019, Nancy Wisor LaPorta, 84, of Linthicum, passed away at her home. Nancy was born on December 15, 1934, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to the late Margaret and Albert Wisor. She was a Secretary in the Guidance Office at Richland Junior High in Johnstown, and after moving to Linthicum, she worked as a Secretary at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Medicine. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Linthicum and she enjoyed coloring, watching baseball and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Leonard LaPorta; her beloved sons, John, Scott, Leonard Jr., and Timothy LaPorta; and her cherished grandchildren, Sara, Sean, Austin Marie, Darien, Leonardo, Rachael, and Lauren LaPorta. She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Wisor, John Wisor, Sis Schnieder, and Sally Wisor.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral And Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Tuesday And Wednesday, May 28 And May 29, from 3-5 And 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 30th, at 10 AM, St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6405 S. Orchard Road, Linthicum, MD 21090. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nancy's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
