Natalea Thumel

Natalea Pumphrey Thumel, 87, passed away on November 3, 2013. Natalea was born on July 22, 1926 in Millersville, MD to the late Mary and Nathaniel Pumphrey. She earned her Master's equivalency degree from Western Maryland College in education and went on to teach at Arundel Annapolis Junior High School and Corkran Middle School. Natalea was a member of the 301 Club and Glen Burnie United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Natalea was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 38 years, Orvie B. Thumel, Jr. She is survived by her beloved children, Orvie B. Thumel, III, Peggy Morris, and Carroll Thumel; her loving grandchildren, Orvie, IV, Joseph and Karl Thumel, Henry Clay, Nathaniel, and Joshua Reister, Heath, Julia and Paige Thumel, and Brandon, Erica, and Justin Morris; her cherished great-grandchildren, Theo Reister and Emily and Carly Morris; and her dear sisters, Mary Louise Woodey, and Jane Long.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Natalea's name may be made to the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church, 5 2nd Ave, S.E., Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
