Nellie Catherine Dilday

On April 18, 2019, Nellie Catherine Dilday, 88, passed away at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, Maryland. Nellie was one of eleven, born to the late Dulcenie and John Hughes, in Northumberland County, Virginia, on June 15, 1930. She was a member of Colerain Baptist Church, in Colerain, North Carolina. Nellie enjoyed crocheting, painting artwork, gardening, and bird watching. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her devoted family.
Nellie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Clarence L. Dilday, and nine dear siblings. She is survived by her loving children, Bruce Dilday, Sherry Cunningham, and Bonnie Almasy; her eight cherished grandchildren; her sixteen beloved great-grandchildren; her dear sister, Alice Fallin; and many adored nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral And Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Wednesday, April 24th, from 11 AM to 1 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park.    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nellie's name may be made to Compass Regional Hospice at www.compassregionalhospice.org.
