Norita Zuby

Norita Magdalen Zuby, 83, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.  Norita was born on June 25, 1937, in William Penn, Pennsylvania, to the late Anna and Francis Witcoski.  Norita was a member of the Grace of God Fellowship Church. She was an avid gardener and she loved going on cruises.  Her life was dedicated to taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, Norita was predeceased by her devoted husband of 60 years, John Stanley Zuby, Sr.; her siblings, Francis Witcoski, Marian Pronio, Raymond Witcoski, and Gerald Witcoski; and her granddaughter, Julie Shook. She is survived by her loving children, Darlena (Darla) Marie Shook, John Stanley Zuby, Jr., Thomas Zuby, Paul Francis Zuby, and Melissa Ann Zuby; her cherished grandchildren Christine Mallick, Ronnie Shook Jr., Kaitlin Birkett, Joshua Zuby, Thomas Zuby Jr., Jonathan Zuby, Kayla Mardaga, Zachary Zuby, Jared Zuby, Benjamin Zuby, and Jacob Zuby; her beloved great-grandchildren, Alaina Mallick, Natalia Mallick, Ethan Shook, Jackson Shook, Emma Birkett, William Mardaga, and Owen Birkett; and her dear siblings, Joseph Witcoski, John Witcoski, and Annette Miscannon.

The family will receive visitors at Grace of God Fellowship Church, 8302 Elvaton Rd, Millersville, MD 21108, on Friday, October 2nd, from 11:30 – 12:30 AM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following at 12:30 PM at the church.  Interment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery – Crownsville.  A luncheon at the church will follow the internment ceremony.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Norita’s name may be made to support outreach efforts for the Grace of God Fellowship Church at https://gogfcc.org/giving/ .

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 100 people inside the Church at one time and requiring masks for all visitors.  Services following at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery are more restricted and are limited to 24 persons.
