NORMAN I. BEARD, 91, of Glen Burnie, passed away on October 15, 2013 at the Tate Hospice House. Norman was born on September 7, 1922 in Baltimore. He served in the US Army in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Glen Burnie Elks, VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and the Lions Club. Norman enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, crafts, spending time with his friends from the Elks and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jane Del Pizzo. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Nancy J. Beard; his children, Linda Smith and her husband, Kenneth M. Smith, Nancy Kirby and her husband, Jim Kirby; his grandchildren, Kimberly Newhouse, Nicole Drum, Angela Quinn and Alicia Del Pizzo; and his great-grandchildren, Rinay, Devin, Gabrielle, Josh, Hannah, Iris, RJ and Jack.
