Odessa Wynn

Odessa Woody Wynn, 61, of Bowie passed away on June 29, 2011 at her home.
She was born January 9, 1950 in Martinsville to Charlie and Annie Woody. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charlie M. Woody. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Fieldale and received a bachelor's degree from Virginia State University and a master's degree from Bowie State University. She worked in the Federal Government and was a music teacher in Prince George's County, MD for 21 years. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Washington, DC. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Johnson and LaShawn Lancaster of Greensboro, NC and Rashieda Wynn of Bowie, MD; five grandchildren; one brother, William Woody; a sister, Doris Branch; 6 nieces & nephews; and a sponsor child in Nicaragua.
