Owen Baynes

On April 2, 2009, Owen Keith Baynes of Florida. Beloved husband of 60 years to Mae P. Baynes; loving father of Evelyn Starkey, Brian and Billy Baynes; cherished grandfather of five; dear brother of William Baynes. He was preceded in death by a son, Owen K. Baynes, Jr. Owen was born in South Boston, Virginia to the late Orie and Ida Baynes. He served in the United States Army from 1942-1945 and was a Purple Heart recipient in 1947. He worked as an administrator for the Department of Defense for over 40 years. He enjoyed gardening tomatoes and grapes, traveling, and nature walks.
