Patricia Van Brackel

Patricia Sue Van Brackel, 81, of Glen Burnie passed away on January 1, 2019.

Patricia was born in Goshen, Virginia to the late Paul and Beulah L. (Petty) Martin. She married Dawson “Duke” Van Brackel in 1985, they met at the 4100 Club a place she loved visiting and made many special friends. Patricia worked as a receptionist for USF&G Insurance Company. She was a member of the Ferndale Club. However she loved her family most and cherished many precious memories they had together. She will be remembered for delicious cooking, and generosity, that extended to anyone who crossed her path.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Stephanie and Leslie Harris.

She is survived by her husband, Dawson “Duke” Van Brackel; daughters, Lesa Harris (Chuck), Pattie Swisher, Jo Ellen McCadden (David); grandchildren, Lacie Graham, Dylan Collison, Emmrick McCadden, Weldon Ryan, and Zola Caponiti; great-grandchildren, Donte Jones and Layla Graham; siblings, Diane White, and Gregory Stanley; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

The family will receive friends on Tues., Jan. 8th, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Avenue, SW (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie. Services will be held on Wed. Jan. 9th, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to a charity of your choice
