Paul Frederick Gibson, Sr. "Fred"

Paul Frederick Gibson, Sr., "Fred", 92, of Glen Burnie, passed away at his home on July 15, 2024. He was born in Washington, DC to the late Mary H. and William M. Gibson, Sr. 

Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Mildred Louise Gibson (nee Metcalf); devoted children, Millie Cartwright and her husband, Joe, Linda Brooks and her husband, Randy, Peggy Ingle and her husband, Ledean, Mary Laney and her husband, Rob, Janet Clift (Ivan Martinez), Paul Gibson, Jr. and his wife, Michelle Osborne, and Mike Gibson; cherished grandchildren, Tracy Tomshack (Tony), Tina Cousin (Marvin), Tammy Morales (Rob), Trisha Holmes, Shelley Brooks (Steve), Randy Brooks, Jr. (Bernadeth), Teresa Ingle, Jennifer Ingle, Daniel Boss, Ryan Laney, Gary Clift, Jr., Christopher Clift (Krista) (son-in-law, Gary Clift, Sr.), Jordan Martinez, Austin Merritt (Gabby Jarvis), Stone Gibson, Rebecca Harvey, Gavin Peratino, Vision Peratino and Ravin Gibson; and loving great-grandchildren, Zay, Alaina, Anjuli, Eli, Paige, Reagan, Nathan, Hailey, Kayla, Gabby, Dane, Faith and Brynlee. 

Paul served in the United States Army from 1952 – 1954, receiving the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He worked for General Electric, retiring after 20 years of service. Paul was a longtime member of American Legion Post 40. He was an avid coin and baseball card collector, he also enjoyed model trains and train gardens, playing cards, listening to music, and spending time with his family.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, Glen Burnie, on Monday, July 22nd, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, 12 PM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
