On March 12, 2007, Raymond John Halfter passed on. Raymond was a dear husband to his lovely wife of 33 years, Irene Halfter; a loving father to his dear daughter, Stephanie Feuerherd and her husband Jamey; a dear brother of Carl Halfter, Jr. and his wife Cathy; a caring uncle to Carly and Mark Halfter; a cherished grandfather to Jacob, Ava and Colin; and a loving son to the late Carl Halfter, Sr. and Elizabeth Halfter. Raymond was born in Dundalk, Maryland in 1944. He was a student at Rets Electronic School where he earned an Associate's Degree. In 1976, he retired from the US Army. He was a member of the United States Army for 14 years. He received many medals during his years with the US Army. This includes a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, a Vietnam Campaign Medal, a Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm and two Overseas Bars. He was a student at Rets Electronic School where he earned an Associate's Degree. He was then an employee of CSX for three years and Comm-Tronics for over 20 years. Raymond enjoyed many hobbies. He enjoyed bass fishing, bowling and reading. He was a great fan of The Lord of the Rings. Raymond was a dear man who will be missed by many people.
