On Saturday, August 13, 2022, Raymond “Ray” Houck of Millersville, MD passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Irma “Louise” Houck. Loving brother of Alda Hagy (James), Robert E. Houck and the late Norman L. Houck, II. He was also preceded in death by his parents; Julia and Norman Houck. He is also survived by his aunt Mary Jane Houck, many cousins and loving friends.
Raymond Houck born to Norman and Julia Houck on May 19, 1940, in the township of East Earl, Pennsylvania. As a young man Ray worked several jobs before he graduated from Twin Valley Hight School in 1958. After graduation Ray enlisted in United States Army stationed in Nuremburg, Germany and re-enlisted in 1961, where he was then stationed at NSA, Ft. Meade, MD. On July 13, 1963, he married Irma Louise Haldeman and they resided in the State of Maryland. For 35 years Ray worked for Eaton. Throughout his tenure, Ray held the positions of a Plater, Inspector of pressure seals for aircrafts, and a Material Analyst.
In 2002 Ray decided to retire to enjoy his interest in his hobbies of boating, fishing, bowling, and fixing up automobiles. Most of all he enjoyed traveling with his wife of 59 years and helping Rejoice Fellowship Church, which he and his wife are both members.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA., 1 Second Avenue, SW, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 (at Crain Highway) on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 11:00 am till the start of the Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. His Inurnment will be held at a later date privately. If desired, Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to the Rejoice Fellowship Church, 7606 Quarterfield Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
