RAYMOND CHARLES TRIGGS, 83, a life long resident of Glen Burnie passed away on September 21, 2012 in Glen Burnie, MD. Raymond was born in Baltimore on July 5, 1929. He graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1946, Baltimore Engineering Institute in 1953 and George Washington University School of Engineering & Applied Science in 1976. Raymond served in the US Navy from 1946 to 1950 as a Seaman aboard the USS Wisconsin, USS Little Rock and the USS Pecatonia. Mr. Triggs retired in 1992 from the US Postal Service, was a mechanical engineer with several government contractors for the US Navy and was involved in the NASA spaceflight program. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and United States Power Squadron. In 1964 he obtained a Masters License from the US Coast Guard and later obtaining a private pilots license. Raymond enjoyed flying planes, his cars, motorcycles, boats and water activities. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Younger Triggs; his parents; Howard R. and Mary M. Triggs and his sister, Marlene J. Luedtke. He is survived by his three children, Deidre Jackson, Georgianne Garner and Michele Lobkovich; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
