It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel “Danny” Frank Moore, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on March 17, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on May 27, 1938, Daniel lived a life characterized by love, faith, and a steadfast commitment to spreading the word of the Lord.
Dan, with his beloved wife, Betty, lived and ministered in many states across the country, most recently in Missouri, but the majority of his life was in Maryland. Together, they built a warm and nurturing home filled with laughter and unwavering faith. Dan’s legacy of devotion extends to his children: Tom (Debby), Wayne, Rob (Angie), and Michael (Becky). He found immense joy in the loving relationship he shared with his sister, Myrtle Walton, and numerous grandchildren, including: Autumn Lewis, Tommy "Rage" Moore, Tara Eversole, Brandon Moore, Raychel Elliott (Kyle), Nick Moore (Julia), Robbie Moore, and Ryleigh Moore, as well as his treasured great-grandchildren, including: Travis Davee, Trinity Davee, Angel Eversole, Nevaeh Eversole, Corey Eversole, Jackson Gibson, Emma Gibson, and Rebecka Rage; great-great grandson, Kolton Thomas Joshua Carnes, and watched proudly as his family continued to grow.
Dan was preceded in death by his mother and father, Herbert Frank and Florence Marie Button Moore; a sister, Clara Mae Moore; a brother, Jeddie Moore; two infant daughters, an infant son and two great-grandchildren, Hadley and Poppy Elliott.
Dan enjoyed fishing and golfing, he took pleasure in the beauty of nature, often finding serenity in both the Chesapeake Bay and the golf course. Yet it was his tireless efforts in building and planting churches that truly exemplified his devotion to faith. For most of his life, he poured his heart and soul into ministering to others, spreading hope and the message of love.
The family will hold a viewing to honor Dan's life on March 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Heritage Community Church, with a funeral service immediately following at 12:00 PM. There will be a graveside service at 3:00 PM at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. All who knew and loved Dan are welcome to join in celebrating his remarkable life and legacy of faith, family, and community.
As we gather to remember Dan, we will share stories of his unwavering faith, love of family, and passion for helping others find their own paths to the Lord.
Daniel Frank Moore will be deeply missed, but his commitment to nurturing and inspiring others through the Word of the Lord will live on. His contributions to his community, both in spirit and action, will be remembered by many.
