On May 1, 2017, Richard C. Basciano of Linthicum, passed away in New York City. Richard was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Margaret and Nicholas Basciano. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII and then went on to work as a real estate developer. Richard enjoyed boxing, tennis, working out and fitness.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 10 years, Lois Basciano; his beloved daughters, Claudia Basciano, Lisa Lombardi, and Lesley Roberts; his six cherished grandchildren and two loving great-grandchildren; and his dear siblings, Marietta Restivo and John Basciano. Richard was predeceased by his first wife of 56 years, Jean E. Basciano, and his sister, Lola Marsiglia.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, for a memorial gathering today, Saturday, May 6th from 1:30 - 3 PM. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel.
